A vibrant celebration of hope, unity, and progress, the Museo ng Pag-Asa marked its second anniversary on September 28, 2024. A living testament to the Filipino spirit of “Bayanihan,” the Museo has become a symbol of community empowerment and collective action, reflecting the unwavering efforts of Filipinos to uplift marginalized communities and those in need.

Founded by former Vice President and current Angat Buhay Chairperson, Atty. Leni Robredo, the Museo ng Pag-Asa serves as a beacon of hope and strength. It not only offers a glimpse into Atty. Robredo’s historic presidential run but also embodies the mission of Angat Buhay: fostering community-driven initiatives to combat poverty and promote dignity for all.

A Day of Reflection and Celebration

The second-anniversary celebration was filled with supporters, partners, and volunteers to gather accomplishments and envision a brighter future. The event highlighted key achievements and reiterated the organization’s commitment to building a just and compassionate society.

Performances That Inspired and Empowered

The celebration was filled with performances that not only entertained but also inspired and empowered. Spoken word artists Mai Cantillano, Leandro Reyes, and Hannah Pabilonia moved the audience with performances rooted in hope and resilience. Musical numbers by the FEU IAS Sessionistas and Pipay uplifted spirits. At the same time, actors Pinky Amador and Rita Avila delivered messages of encouragement. The celebration closed with dazzling drag performances by Dysco and Ezra, showcasing the inclusivity and diversity championed by Museo ng Pag-Asa.

Founded in 2022 by Atty. Leni Robredo, Angat Buhay has grown into the country’s largest volunteer network, mobilizing resources and implementing programs to support marginalized communities. It envisions a Philippines where every citizen lives with dignity, fostering a culture of shared responsibility and hope.

We are proud to present the Angat Sining Fellowship Exhibit, showcasing the masterpieces of our young Filipino artists who went on a mentorship journey guided by renowned Filipino visual artists, including National Artist BenCab, Mark Justiniani, Toym Imao, AG Saño, Ang Ilustrador ng Kabataan, Fotobaryo, and The Mighty Bhutens.

The fellowship nurtured artistic growth while emphasizing the social impact of art. By engaging with the community and creating works that reflect Filipino culture and values, the fellows were inspired to use their talents for positive change.

This exhibit is a celebration of the fellows' achievements and a showcase of their works. Each artwork on display reflects the growth, passion, and lessons learned throughout their journey. It is a testament to the power of mentorship, collaboration, and a shared commitment to elevating the voices of young Filipino artists.

As they continue to develop their craft, these fellows are poised to make meaningful contributions to the future of the Philippine arts scene.
