Angat Buhay Chairperson Atty. Leni Robredo leads the non-government organization’s ‘Caring for Carers’ event with partners on Monday at the Museo ng Pag-asa in Quezon City. Forty parents and caregivers of children diagnosed with cancer from Kythe Foundation were given a ‘day-off’ and were provided an afternoon of free food, gift bags, and services from different partner organizations such as medical consultations, optical check-ups, massage, and make-up among others.

Many children struggle in class not because they can’t learn, but because they can’t see clearly.

Together with Legazpi Eye Center, we’re helping Bayan Ko, Titser Ko learners see better. Each child undergoes a vision screening, and those with identified concerns are examined by a specialist and given free prescription glasses when needed.

Early screenings and simple eyeglasses can transform a child’s learning, confidence, and future. This initiative is supported by Divine Grace Medical Center.
